Pan American Leathers' tanning operations in both the USA and Colombia gladly adhere to strict environmental regulations imposed by local, state and federal governments. Our facility in New York complies with requirements of the Johnstown-Gloversville Joint Sewer Board. We maintain and operate our own waste treatment facility and undergo periodic audits and reviews from environmental consultants and governmental organizations.
Our facility in Colombia is the only exotic skin tannery in the country that has received ISO certification for compliance with local requirements for water and energy conservation, as well as management of chemicals, waste, and odors.
