Affordable

No minimums. Shipping small quantities of skins internationally is not cost effective because of the CITES requirements. With our tannery in NY state, we don't have that problem when servicing US-based customers so we do not work with minimums. (However, the price will reflect the quantity).

No distributor mark-up. When you buy from PAL, you are buying directly with a tannery versus a broker or redistributor who marks up the tannery's prices.

No import/export requirements for US customers. Shipping wildlife internationally is a very involved and often unreliable logistical process that is costly in terms of both time and money. We service our US customers out of our New York tannery, so there is no CITES requirement.

High Quality

Quality control. PAL employs a quality control officer responsible for checking, documenting and remedying quality issues at each step of the tanning process.

Iterative process. Being based in the US, we can exchange samples relatively easily with US-based customers in a time efficient manner to make sure you get exactly what you need.

Dependable

Independent and impartial. We are one of the only independent exotic skin tanneries left in the world (meaning we are not owned by any of the large fashion houses like LVMH, Gucci or Hermes). As a result, we can service customers without a conflict of interest.

Time. Being located in the US, our turnaround timeframe is shorter than most of our international competitors. We also avoid the shipping delays associated with brokers and redistributors.

Import/export requirements for non-US customers. PAL utilizes its intricate knowledge of industry procedures to obtain all of the proper documentation for our customers. This ensures that our clients receive their finished product without legal contention or shipping delays.

Network of US Manufacturers. Over 50 years in the industry, we have developed relationships with the best domestic and international manufacturers, spanning all industry segments, including belts, boots, garments, handbags, hatbands, jewelry, shoes, upholstery, wallets and accessories, watch straps and more. We are constantly helping our customers find the right manufacturing partner for them.
