In 2010, the Louisiana Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Services performed a live review of the treatment of farmed alligators from eggs to euthanasia. They are currently formulating their recommendations based on their findings. This set of guidelines will be available in the next six months and Pan American Leathers will only work with suppliers that meet these ethical requirements.
