All crocodilians are listed in either Appendix I or Appendix II of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) and many are found in international trade for the leather and fashion industry, for meat, and as live animals for breeding operations, food, the pet industry, and zoos. This report shows the changing trends in the crocodilian species involved in this trade since 2010 with special emphasis on the years 2017 to 2019.
