According to MB.com, French apparel manufacturer Lacoste, which uses the crocodile as its logo, is backing the global project to protect crocodiles. Crocodile skin is tanned and used for various products while the flesh are cut up and utilized as bait for big game fish.

This network works closely with the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
